Anger Management Group is a 7 week psychoeducational program. The goal of the program is to help you develop an understanding of your own unique emotional responses in different life situations. This understanding is accomplished through discussion of your anger “triggers”, by challenging old belief systems, early childhood exposure to anger, violence in your Family of Origin, and in building a general “Awareness” of how you can be more ‘appropriate’ in expressing yourself emotionally. These personal insights will lead to a positive change in your behavior.
Woman’s Support Group is a weekly ongoing support group which entails psychoeducation by the Group’s choices with additional support for all members. Some areas that may be covered will be depression, anxiety, stress management, parenting, relationships, divorce, grief and bereavement, life transitions, trauma, low self-esteem.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an integrative psychotherapy approach that has been extensively researched and proven effective for the treatment of trauma and other mental health issues. EMDR is a set of standardized protocols that incorporate elements from many different treatment approaches. To date, EMDR therapy has helped millions of people of all ages relieve many types of psychological stress. EMDR was also found effective by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and Department of Defense, the United Kingdom Department of Health, the Israeli National Council for Mental Health, and many other international health and governmental agencies. Research has also shown that EMDR can be an efficient and rapid treatment.
