DIANE E. SMITH is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, a Clinical Member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy, the Connecticut Association of Marriage and Family Therapy, and an AAMFT Approved Supervisor. She received a Master of Arts degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Fairfield University and has worked in both the private and public sectors. In addition to her private practice, Diane is an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Marriage and Family Therapy Department of Iona College.
Diane provides therapy for individuals, couples and families representing a range of socioeconomic groups, sexual orientations, ethnic backgrounds and ages from 18 and older.
Diane is certified in EMDR for the treatment of traumas and other psychological modalities. She is an SRI University trained and certified practitioner of NLP.
Diane served as a Collaborating Investigator for the DSM V field trials leading to the current publishing of the universal tool for psychological diagnosis.
Diane also leads both an Anger Management Group, of her own design, offering an ongoing psycho-educational program, and a Woman’sSupport Group. She has also facilitated the Parent Education Program (PEP) as mandated by the State of Connecticut for all divorcing and custodial parents.
